Bishop James H. Everett, Jr. is the Senior Pastor of the Deliverance Jesus Is Coming Church and Presiding Prelate of the Deliverance Jesus Is Coming Association of Churches.

Bishop surrendered his life to Christ in August of 1960. His academic qualifications (New York City Community College, Long Island University, United Christian College, achieving a Ph.D. in Elemental Theology), coupled with the anointing of the Holy Ghost (as displayed in services under his two Pastors, the late Bishop Frank C. Clemmons of First Church of God in Christ, Brooklyn, NY, and the late Apostle Arturo A. Skinner of Deliverance Evangelistic Center, Inc., Brooklyn, NY), equips him for the great task of establishing the church in the community of the world, and reaching every soul for Christ.

The Deliverance Jesus Is Coming Church was established in June of 1976. Through the evangelistic outreach of the church, souls have been converted through the ministries of the Pen Preachers, CCC (Cool Aid for Christ Crusades [Outdoor Ministry]), Maranatha Bible Institute, Community Outreach, and through Bishop’s Evangelistic Crusades across the country.

He is president of the Irvington Clergy Association. He is also honored to serve as a board member for the Joint College of African American Pentecostal Bishops, as well as a board member of the Monument International Church Assemblies.

Pastor Vanessa Everett was born and reared in Newark, New Jersey. She attended Newark public schools and received her formal education at Essex County College, Rutgers University, and graduated United Christian Bible College with a Certificate in Counseling, and a Masters of Religious Education, as well as Doctorate of Theology.

Out of all that she has received in this life, the most exciting experience is that of receiving Jesus Christ in her life, at the age of 8 years old, under the ministry of the late Apostle Arturo Skinner. She was active in the youth department of the Deliverance Ministry, where she served on the Junior Usher Board, sang in the choir, and was one of the prayer leaders of the Youth Department.

The heart of her ministry has been working by the side of her husband, Bishop James H. Everett, Jr., as Co-Pastor of the Deliverance Jesus Is Coming Church and Association Inc., and the administrator of Maranatha Christian Academy, a Christian day school, from 1979 to 1991.

She conducts workshops and seminars; counsels married couples, singles, and unwed mothers; assists in finding shelter for the homeless; as well as conducts Evangelistic services.

Bishop Everett found a virtuous woman in the person of the multi-talented, astutely perceptive, Vanessa Horton Everett. They labor together in the work of the Lord. She serves as Co-Pastor of the Deliverance Jesus Is Coming Church.

They are parents of one daughter, Solange, and the grandparents to James Xavier, Azjah Dale, and So'Miyah Skye.

Both Bishop and Pastor Everett are saved, sanctified, baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost.
